The main goal of osteopathy is to make you as an individual healthier. Osteopathy looks for the causes of dysfunction, treating the body as a whole. As a natural medicine, it applies the knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the body to all types of various diseases, disorders, and dysfunctions.

Osteopathy is a form of alternative medicine that focuses on manipulating the bones, tissue and muscles. In Canada, the majority of practitioners are referred to as Manual Osteopaths. The therapist relies on their sense of palpation (touch) to assess dysfunction in the body. Although Manual Osteopaths and Chiropractors both use techniques to mobilize the joints of the musculoskeletal system, there are various differences. Most Chiropractors are primarily focused on the joints and spine. Manual Osteopaths tend to treat a broader range of disorders and take on a more holistic approach. In Canada, Manual Osteopaths are not licensed to use a high velocity thrust when working on joints. Therefore, they use a more cautious approach that moves the joint to its end range of motion and not past its end range of motion. Manual Osteopathy is highly effective at dealing with chronic pain and various disorders.

Custom orthotics are bio-mechanical devices designed to correct improper foot functions. These devices are very similar to insoles. Our orthotics are made from light weight and durable carbon fiber which typically will last you 2-3 years with proper use. The difference between the two are that orthotics are custom made to shape your foot and address the problems with your foot. Custom made orthotics are worn inside your shoes and provide support, alignment and balance to help your feet function the way they were intended.
Since your feet have a direct impact on the rest of your body, even a small problem developing in your feet like a subtle change in your walking can affect your posture and walking mechanics. Moreover, it places added stress on other joints in your body, which often leads to more serious problems.
Custom orthotics are molded to support the specific requirements of your feet. They help restore balance and alignment in your body by addressing the root which causes discomfort. Having corrected foot abnormalities, custom made orthotics help reduce problems associated with pressure points, muscle strain and discomfort in the ankles, knees, hips and spine. Over time, as custom orthotics correct the biomechanics of your feet, your pain and fatigue will be relieved. Therefore, you enjoy your daily activities in full comfort.
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine dating back as early as 3000 BC. Cupping therapy is extremely relating and beneficial for many conditions. Your practitioner will put special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction to stimulate proper blood flow and lymphatic fluids. The cups may remain stationary or can be moved around; the suction can be strong to affect deeper tissues or milder to bring a more superficial effect. After cupping treatment it is usual to have circular bruise marks. These marks will fade in a few days.
